Theodore Austin-Sparks (1888–1971) was a British evangelist and author. Born in London, he became a Christian at seventeen while listening to street-preachers in Glasgow, and was ordained a Baptist minister at twenty-four. In 1926 he left the denomination and, with like-minded Christians, founded a conference and training centre at Honor Oak in south-east London. From there he published the free magazine "A Witness and A Testimony" until his death, and his conference ministry took him across Europe, North America and Asia. He asked that his messages be shared freely and word for word. Source: Wikipedia (summarized; CC BY-SA)

“Vision and Vocation” explores how knowing God brings a small company into spiritual strength and service, and how the Cross works by life through death, liberty through surrender, and enlargement through loss. Opening with Daniel 11:32, Austin-Sparks presents believers as signs of God’s purpose and members of a world-spanning Body, called to surrender self-interest, live in union with Christ, and bear witness to His triumph. Brief Messages at Sundry Times.
