"This Ministry"

Theodore Austin-Sparks (1888–1971) was a British evangelist and author. Born in London, he became a Christian at seventeen while listening to street-preachers in Glasgow, and was ordained a Baptist minister at twenty-four. In 1926 he left the denomination and, with like-minded Christians, founded a conference and training centre at Honor Oak in south-east London. From there he published the free magazine "A Witness and A Testimony" until his death, and his conference ministry took him across Europe, North America and Asia. He asked that his messages be shared freely and word for word. Source: Wikipedia (summarized; CC BY-SA)

About this book

Opening with 2 Corinthians 4:1, Austin-Sparks considers the church’s calling to “this ministry” and the character needed to fulfil it. He presents it as a ministry of the Spirit, marked by new birth and the life of Christ, then explores the biblical title “the Living God” in contrast to pagan gods and merely formal or nominal religion. The message calls readers to serve God in living spiritual reality.
