Theodore Austin-Sparks (1888–1971) was a British evangelist and author. Born in London, he became a Christian at seventeen while listening to street-preachers in Glasgow, and was ordained a Baptist minister at twenty-four. In 1926 he left the denomination and, with like-minded Christians, founded a conference and training centre at Honor Oak in south-east London. From there he published the free magazine "A Witness and A Testimony" until his death, and his conference ministry took him across Europe, North America and Asia. He asked that his messages be shared freely and word for word. Source: Wikipedia (summarized; CC BY-SA)

Opening from 1 John’s repeated words, “This is,” Austin-Sparks gathers the testimony of Jesus into three themes: Divine Light, Life, and Love. He also considers Christ in the Old Testament tabernacle and the glory of God in the church, where Christ’s character is to be expressed. The reader is called to live in this testimony and to let its light, life, and love be manifest among believers.
