"Thine is the Kingdom, and the Power, and the Glory"

Theodore Austin-Sparks (1888–1971) was a British evangelist and author. Born in London, he became a Christian at seventeen while listening to street-preachers in Glasgow, and was ordained a Baptist minister at twenty-four. In 1926 he left the denomination and, with like-minded Christians, founded a conference and training centre at Honor Oak in south-east London. From there he published the free magazine "A Witness and A Testimony" until his death, and his conference ministry took him across Europe, North America and Asia. He asked that his messages be shared freely and word for word. Source: Wikipedia (summarized; CC BY-SA)

About this book

“Thine is the Kingdom, and the Power, and the Glory” opens with Jesus’ temptation in Matthew 4 and the prayer “deliver us from the evil one,” tracing their shared vision of God’s kingdom, power, and glory. Austin-Sparks considers Christ as the last Adam, exalted Lord, and source of new life through the Spirit, and calls the Church to serve God’s glory, live under Christ’s lordship, and persevere in Spirit-led prayer warfare. First published in "A Witness and A Testimony" magazines, 1941-42.
