Theodore Austin-Sparks (1888–1971) was a British evangelist and author. Born in London, he became a Christian at seventeen while listening to street-preachers in Glasgow, and was ordained a Baptist minister at twenty-four. In 1926 he left the denomination and, with like-minded Christians, founded a conference and training centre at Honor Oak in south-east London. From there he published the free magazine "A Witness and A Testimony" until his death, and his conference ministry took him across Europe, North America and Asia. He asked that his messages be shared freely and word for word. Source: Wikipedia (summarized; CC BY-SA)

Taking 1 Corinthians 2:14 as its theme, “The Things of the Spirit” considers the deep things of God and why the natural person cannot receive them without new birth and the Spirit’s work. Austin-Sparks distinguishes mere biblical information from spiritual knowledge that brings life, transformation, and growth, calling believers to live by the Spirit and seek His revelation of Christ in Scripture.
