The Testimony of the Christ

Theodore Austin-Sparks (1888–1971) was a British evangelist and author. Born in London, he became a Christian at seventeen while listening to street-preachers in Glasgow, and was ordained a Baptist minister at twenty-four. In 1926 he left the denomination and, with like-minded Christians, founded a conference and training centre at Honor Oak in south-east London. From there he published the free magazine "A Witness and A Testimony" until his death, and his conference ministry took him across Europe, North America and Asia. He asked that his messages be shared freely and word for word. Source: Wikipedia (summarized; CC BY-SA)

About this book

Beginning with Christ’s interpretation of the Scriptures on the Emmaus road in Luke 24, Austin-Sparks traces one great biblical testimony: Life triumphing over death through the Cross and resurrection. From Joseph and Israel to the corporate people of God, he follows this theme as the God of hope works through bewildering trials. The message calls readers to live in the good of this testimony and identify themselves with Jesus and His victory. From unpublished manuscripts. Published on the web in September 2009.
