The Testimony of Jesus, the Man-child, and Antichrist

Theodore Austin-Sparks (1888–1971) was a British evangelist and author. Born in London, he became a Christian at seventeen while listening to street-preachers in Glasgow, and was ordained a Baptist minister at twenty-four. In 1926 he left the denomination and, with like-minded Christians, founded a conference and training centre at Honor Oak in south-east London. From there he published the free magazine "A Witness and A Testimony" until his death, and his conference ministry took him across Europe, North America and Asia. He asked that his messages be shared freely and word for word. Source: Wikipedia (summarized; CC BY-SA)

About this book

Reading 1 Samuel as a living testimony to Jesus, Austin-Sparks follows the transition from Saul to David as God’s intervention to recover His spiritual purpose. He contrasts human and carnal choice with the hidden, heart-formed instrument God appoints, and calls readers to patient faith, wholehearted obedience, and a life governed by the Spirit, confronting whatever obstructs God’s work.
