Theodore Austin-Sparks (1888–1971) was a British evangelist and author. Born in London, he became a Christian at seventeen while listening to street-preachers in Glasgow, and was ordained a Baptist minister at twenty-four. In 1926 he left the denomination and, with like-minded Christians, founded a conference and training centre at Honor Oak in south-east London. From there he published the free magazine "A Witness and A Testimony" until his death, and his conference ministry took him across Europe, North America and Asia. He asked that his messages be shared freely and word for word. Source: Wikipedia (summarized; CC BY-SA)

“The Temple and the Tabernacle of God” traces God’s dwelling place from Solomon’s temple and the ark to Christ and the church, drawing on Scripture from Chronicles, the prophets, the Gospels, and the Epistles. It calls readers to the humility and dependence seen in Jesus, to seek the spiritual power that makes the church’s witness effective, and to bring God’s presence into their shared life under His rule.
