Theodore Austin-Sparks (1888–1971) was a British evangelist and author. Born in London, he became a Christian at seventeen while listening to street-preachers in Glasgow, and was ordained a Baptist minister at twenty-four. In 1926 he left the denomination and, with like-minded Christians, founded a conference and training centre at Honor Oak in south-east London. From there he published the free magazine "A Witness and A Testimony" until his death, and his conference ministry took him across Europe, North America and Asia. He asked that his messages be shared freely and word for word. Source: Wikipedia (summarized; CC BY-SA)

“The Sovereignty of the Holy Spirit” explores the Spirit’s lordship as the source of spiritual life, freedom, and growth, and as the power shaping God’s purpose in His people. Austin-Sparks moves from Paul’s words in 2 Corinthians to Ezekiel’s visions and their counterpart at Pentecost in Acts, calling readers to yield their lives and the church to the Spirit’s sovereign direction, that they may enter the fulness of Christ together.
