Theodore Austin-Sparks (1888–1971) was a British evangelist and author. Born in London, he became a Christian at seventeen while listening to street-preachers in Glasgow, and was ordained a Baptist minister at twenty-four. In 1926 he left the denomination and, with like-minded Christians, founded a conference and training centre at Honor Oak in south-east London. From there he published the free magazine "A Witness and A Testimony" until his death, and his conference ministry took him across Europe, North America and Asia. He asked that his messages be shared freely and word for word. Source: Wikipedia (summarized; CC BY-SA)

“The Power of the Name” explores the sovereignty and spiritual meaning of Jesus’ Name, its relation to the Word of God, and the contrast between fallen humanity in Adam and God’s purpose for a corporate people in Christ. Drawing on John’s Gospel, Ephesians, and other Scriptures, Austin-Sparks considers life and light in Christ and calls readers to enter into the Name, share His life, and walk in the truth that brings freedom.
