Theodore Austin-Sparks (1888–1971) was a British evangelist and author. Born in London, he became a Christian at seventeen while listening to street-preachers in Glasgow, and was ordained a Baptist minister at twenty-four. In 1926 he left the denomination and, with like-minded Christians, founded a conference and training centre at Honor Oak in south-east London. From there he published the free magazine "A Witness and A Testimony" until his death, and his conference ministry took him across Europe, North America and Asia. He asked that his messages be shared freely and word for word. Source: Wikipedia (summarized; CC BY-SA)

T. Austin-Sparks reads Elisha’s ministry in 2 Kings as a picture of the Church living and working through the Spirit in the power of Christ’s resurrection. From Jericho’s healed waters to Naaman’s cleansing and Elisha’s touch with heaven’s throne, he traces life triumphing over death, limitation, and spiritual opposition. The chapters call readers to live in resurrection fullness and bear a testimony to life that endures. From the original, unabridged writings of T. Austin-Sparks.
