The Overcomer

Theodore Austin-Sparks (1888–1971) was a British evangelist and author. Born in London, he became a Christian at seventeen while listening to street-preachers in Glasgow, and was ordained a Baptist minister at twenty-four. In 1926 he left the denomination and, with like-minded Christians, founded a conference and training centre at Honor Oak in south-east London. From there he published the free magazine "A Witness and A Testimony" until his death, and his conference ministry took him across Europe, North America and Asia. He asked that his messages be shared freely and word for word. Source: Wikipedia (summarized; CC BY-SA)

About this book

“The Overcomer” opens in Revelation 12 and the letters to the churches, presenting the overcomer as God’s people standing for His full purpose when the Church has declined. Austin-Sparks connects righteousness through faith with a heavenly position and a living testimony that withstands Satan’s corruption and accusation. The message calls readers to a wholehearted devotion to God, even at the cost of their lives. First published in "A Witness and A Testimony" magazines, 1940.
