Theodore Austin-Sparks (1888–1971) was a British evangelist and author. Born in London, he became a Christian at seventeen while listening to street-preachers in Glasgow, and was ordained a Baptist minister at twenty-four. In 1926 he left the denomination and, with like-minded Christians, founded a conference and training centre at Honor Oak in south-east London. From there he published the free magazine "A Witness and A Testimony" until his death, and his conference ministry took him across Europe, North America and Asia. He asked that his messages be shared freely and word for word. Source: Wikipedia (summarized; CC BY-SA)

“The Opened Heaven” traces the believer’s passage from earthly understanding into heavenly union with Christ, opening with Jesus’ promise to Nathanael in John 1: “Ye shall see the heaven opened.” Through the Cross and the indwelling Spirit, it considers deliverance from sin, the world, and death, and calls readers to live now as a heavenly people, sharing Christ’s life and growing toward its fullness.
