The Nature of That Which Issues in the Resurrection of Christ

Theodore Austin-Sparks (1888–1971) was a British evangelist and author. Born in London, he became a Christian at seventeen while listening to street-preachers in Glasgow, and was ordained a Baptist minister at twenty-four. In 1926 he left the denomination and, with like-minded Christians, founded a conference and training centre at Honor Oak in south-east London. From there he published the free magazine "A Witness and A Testimony" until his death, and his conference ministry took him across Europe, North America and Asia. He asked that his messages be shared freely and word for word. Source: Wikipedia (summarized; CC BY-SA)

About this book

Opening from Matthew 16:16–18, Austin-Sparks considers the spiritual nature of the church Christ builds and the challenges of the cross, Satan, and death. He distinguishes soul from spirit, calls for a faith that passes through death in resurrection power, and presents the church as the living witness and full expression of Christ’s testimony. The reader is urged to live by that resurrection faith and share in this corporate testimony. Messages given at a Worker's Conference, November, 1933.
