The Line of Christ

The Line of Christ

Theodore Austin-Sparks (1888–1971) was a British evangelist and author. Born in London, he became a Christian at seventeen while listening to street-preachers in Glasgow, and was ordained a Baptist minister at twenty-four. In 1926 he left the denomination and, with like-minded Christians, founded a conference and training centre at Honor Oak in south-east London. From there he published the free magazine "A Witness and A Testimony" until his death, and his conference ministry took him across Europe, North America and Asia. He asked that his messages be shared freely and word for word. Source: Wikipedia (summarized; CC BY-SA)

About this book

“The Line of Christ” presents Christ as God’s purpose and way through Scripture and history, opening with Ruth’s story and its movement from famine and death to restoration, and with the biblical cry, “Teach me thy way, O Lord.” It calls readers to remain wholly committed to Christ, discerning their choices and direction by his interests, for in him alone they find God’s presence, blessing, and resurrection life. First published in A Witness and A Testimony magazines, 1964.
