Theodore Austin-Sparks (1888–1971) was a British evangelist and author. Born in London, he became a Christian at seventeen while listening to street-preachers in Glasgow, and was ordained a Baptist minister at twenty-four. In 1926 he left the denomination and, with like-minded Christians, founded a conference and training centre at Honor Oak in south-east London. From there he published the free magazine "A Witness and A Testimony" until his death, and his conference ministry took him across Europe, North America and Asia. He asked that his messages be shared freely and word for word. Source: Wikipedia (summarized; CC BY-SA)

Austin-Sparks presents the greatness and glory of the Lord Jesus Christ, beginning with Hebrews 1:3 and the Son as the image and supreme representative of God. He reads the Old Testament ark of the covenant as a testimony to Christ, following its history through Israel’s wilderness journey, Jordan, Jericho, defeat, and captivity. The chapters call readers to know Christ as a living reality within God’s people and to walk in the spiritual life and victory found in Him. First published in "A Witness and A Testimony" magazines, 1965-1968.
