The Great Transition from One Humanity to Another

Theodore Austin-Sparks (1888–1971) was a British evangelist and author. Born in London, he became a Christian at seventeen while listening to street-preachers in Glasgow, and was ordained a Baptist minister at twenty-four. In 1926 he left the denomination and, with like-minded Christians, founded a conference and training centre at Honor Oak in south-east London. From there he published the free magazine "A Witness and A Testimony" until his death, and his conference ministry took him across Europe, North America and Asia. He asked that his messages be shared freely and word for word. Source: Wikipedia (summarized; CC BY-SA)

About this book

“The Great Transition from One Humanity to Another” traces Scripture’s contrast between the first Adam and the new humanity in Christ, opening with Genesis 5, 1 Corinthians 15, Colossians 3, and Hebrews 2. It follows the old humanity’s exposure and judgment, the conflict between natural and spiritual, and Paul’s vision of the risen, exalted Christ. It calls readers to pursue conformity to Christ and to see ministry and the Church in the light of Him. Transcribed from Atlantic States Christian Convocation messages given in Wabanna, MD, USA in July 1968.
