Theodore Austin-Sparks (1888–1971) was a British evangelist and author. Born in London, he became a Christian at seventeen while listening to street-preachers in Glasgow, and was ordained a Baptist minister at twenty-four. In 1926 he left the denomination and, with like-minded Christians, founded a conference and training centre at Honor Oak in south-east London. From there he published the free magazine "A Witness and A Testimony" until his death, and his conference ministry took him across Europe, North America and Asia. He asked that his messages be shared freely and word for word. Source: Wikipedia (summarized; CC BY-SA)

“The Goings of God” follows God’s purpose from before creation toward its fulfilment in Christ, drawing especially on Psalm 68 and Ezekiel’s vision of the living creatures and wheels moving straight ahead. Austin-Sparks considers creation, Christ’s incarnation, God’s sovereign government, and the Spirit’s activity, calling readers to live under the Spirit’s direction and take their place in God’s continuing purpose.
