The Establishment of the Testimony by Resurrection

The Establishment of the Testimony by Resurrection

Theodore Austin-Sparks (1888–1971) was a British evangelist and author. Born in London, he became a Christian at seventeen while listening to street-preachers in Glasgow, and was ordained a Baptist minister at twenty-four. In 1926 he left the denomination and, with like-minded Christians, founded a conference and training centre at Honor Oak in south-east London. From there he published the free magazine "A Witness and A Testimony" until his death, and his conference ministry took him across Europe, North America and Asia. He asked that his messages be shared freely and word for word. Source: Wikipedia (summarized; CC BY-SA)

About this book

Opening with Romans 1:3–4 and the stories of Elijah and Elisha, Austin-Sparks traces how the testimony of Jesus is established and carried forward through resurrection. It becomes inward in believers, takes concrete form in sonship and responsibility, and advances through crises of death and renewal. The reader is called to live in the reality and power of Christ’s risen life, the testimony’s defining mark.
