Theodore Austin-Sparks (1888–1971) was a British evangelist and author. Born in London, he became a Christian at seventeen while listening to street-preachers in Glasgow, and was ordained a Baptist minister at twenty-four. In 1926 he left the denomination and, with like-minded Christians, founded a conference and training centre at Honor Oak in south-east London. From there he published the free magazine "A Witness and A Testimony" until his death, and his conference ministry took him across Europe, North America and Asia. He asked that his messages be shared freely and word for word. Source: Wikipedia (summarized; CC BY-SA)

Opening with Philippians 2:5–11, the chapters ask what God intends to accomplish through the Cross and how Christ’s self-emptying, death, and exaltation overcome Satan’s kingdom and establish God’s. They trace the Church’s heavenly mission and spiritual resources amid conflict between the kingdoms, and call believers to live under Christ’s authority, love righteousness, remain faithful through trial, and share in his triumph. First published in "A Witness and A Testimony" magazines, 1948-1949.
