Theodore Austin-Sparks (1888–1971) was a British evangelist and author. Born in London, he became a Christian at seventeen while listening to street-preachers in Glasgow, and was ordained a Baptist minister at twenty-four. In 1926 he left the denomination and, with like-minded Christians, founded a conference and training centre at Honor Oak in south-east London. From there he published the free magazine "A Witness and A Testimony" until his death, and his conference ministry took him across Europe, North America and Asia. He asked that his messages be shared freely and word for word. Source: Wikipedia (summarized; CC BY-SA)

“The Cross and the Eternal Glory of God” traces the manifestations of divine glory from the Tabernacle and Temple to Christ’s resurrection, the Church, and the final glory in the saints. Opening from John 17 and the linked themes of the House, the Name, and the Glory, Austin-Sparks presents Christ’s sovereignty as vindicated through the Cross and resurrection. The reader is called to know grace as the way into God’s glory and to serve as part of Christ’s Body, where His Name is revealed. First published in "A Witness and A Testimony" magazine, 1927, with the following note: "Given by T. Austin-Sparks at the December Conference [1926]. Honor Oak C. F. Centre. (An extract of notes taken at the December Conference.)".
