The Church Which is His Body

Theodore Austin-Sparks (1888–1971) was a British evangelist and author. Born in London, he became a Christian at seventeen while listening to street-preachers in Glasgow, and was ordained a Baptist minister at twenty-four. In 1926 he left the denomination and, with like-minded Christians, founded a conference and training centre at Honor Oak in south-east London. From there he published the free magazine "A Witness and A Testimony" until his death, and his conference ministry took him across Europe, North America and Asia. He asked that his messages be shared freely and word for word. Source: Wikipedia (summarized; CC BY-SA)

About this book

Opening from Ephesians, Austin-Sparks presents the Church as Christ’s one, heavenly Body: a corporate reality that earthly divisions cannot undo. He draws on Israel’s feasts in Leviticus 23 to show oneness grounded not merely in shared doctrine but in the living power of Christ’s blood, then considers how each local gathering represents the whole Body. The message calls believers to apprehend and live in this spiritual unity and interdependence. The substance of these messages are reproduced as spoken.
