The Burning Fire of the Spirit

The Burning Fire of the Spirit

Theodore Austin-Sparks (1888–1971) was a British evangelist and author. Born in London, he became a Christian at seventeen while listening to street-preachers in Glasgow, and was ordained a Baptist minister at twenty-four. In 1926 he left the denomination and, with like-minded Christians, founded a conference and training centre at Honor Oak in south-east London. From there he published the free magazine "A Witness and A Testimony" until his death, and his conference ministry took him across Europe, North America and Asia. He asked that his messages be shared freely and word for word. Source: Wikipedia (summarized; CC BY-SA)

About this book

Opening in Revelation’s vision of Christ and the seven lamps of fire, these messages present the Holy Spirit’s searching testimony to Jesus as the measure by which the church and its life are tested. They call readers to recover their first love, be clothed with Christ rather than exposed in themselves, and find renewal and strength for trial through a fresh unveiling of His greatness.
