The Building of the New Jerusalem

Theodore Austin-Sparks (1888–1971) was a British evangelist and author. Born in London, he became a Christian at seventeen while listening to street-preachers in Glasgow, and was ordained a Baptist minister at twenty-four. In 1926 he left the denomination and, with like-minded Christians, founded a conference and training centre at Honor Oak in south-east London. From there he published the free magazine "A Witness and A Testimony" until his death, and his conference ministry took him across Europe, North America and Asia. He asked that his messages be shared freely and word for word. Source: Wikipedia (summarized; CC BY-SA)

About this book

“The Building of the New Jerusalem” traces God’s purpose to form a people who reveal His glory, opening with the New Jerusalem in Revelation 21–22 and the call for truth within. It explores how truth must be joined with unfeigned love, and contrasts the heavenly city’s life and freedom in Christ with bondage to imposed religion. The reader is called to yield the will to God and live in the spiritual reality of this people.
