Theodore Austin-Sparks (1888–1971) was a British evangelist and author. Born in London, he became a Christian at seventeen while listening to street-preachers in Glasgow, and was ordained a Baptist minister at twenty-four. In 1926 he left the denomination and, with like-minded Christians, founded a conference and training centre at Honor Oak in south-east London. From there he published the free magazine "A Witness and A Testimony" until his death, and his conference ministry took him across Europe, North America and Asia. He asked that his messages be shared freely and word for word. Source: Wikipedia (summarized; CC BY-SA)

Beginning with Romans 8:29 and the image of God’s Son, Austin-Sparks presents the new creation as born of the Spirit, heavenly in nature, universal in scope, and ordered under Christ’s headship. He emphasizes its corporate expression in the church, the Body of Christ, and calls readers to let the Cross free them from earthbound limits and to grow toward Christ as God’s purpose for redeemed humanity. A series of conference messages given in June, 1931. Chapter 1 was published in the July 1931 A Witness and A Testimony magazine with the note "to be continued", but was not continued. The remaining chapters are from unpublished manuscripts supplied by the Golden Candlestick Trust.
