Spiritual Ministry

Theodore Austin-Sparks (1888–1971) was a British evangelist and author. Born in London, he became a Christian at seventeen while listening to street-preachers in Glasgow, and was ordained a Baptist minister at twenty-four. In 1926 he left the denomination and, with like-minded Christians, founded a conference and training centre at Honor Oak in south-east London. From there he published the free magazine "A Witness and A Testimony" until his death, and his conference ministry took him across Europe, North America and Asia. He asked that his messages be shared freely and word for word. Source: Wikipedia (summarized; CC BY-SA)

About this book

Through 2 Corinthians, “Spiritual Ministry” explores ministry as the personal manifestation of Christ, formed through suffering and sustained by God’s life. It opens with the new creation’s light in 2 Corinthians 4:6, then considers Christ as the glory of the new covenant and the power for spiritual warfare, illustrated by Gideon. It calls readers to turn to the Lord, behold His glory, and trust His power rather than their own. From "A Witness and A Testimony" magazines, 1937-1938.
