Spiritual Ascendancy

Spiritual Ascendancy

Theodore Austin-Sparks (1888–1971) was a British evangelist and author. Born in London, he became a Christian at seventeen while listening to street-preachers in Glasgow, and was ordained a Baptist minister at twenty-four. In 1926 he left the denomination and, with like-minded Christians, founded a conference and training centre at Honor Oak in south-east London. From there he published the free magazine "A Witness and A Testimony" until his death, and his conference ministry took him across Europe, North America and Asia. He asked that his messages be shared freely and word for word. Source: Wikipedia (summarized; CC BY-SA)

About this book

“Who shall ascend into the hill of the Lord?” links Psalm 24 with the Lamb and the firstfruits on Mount Zion in Revelation 14. Austin-Sparks presents spiritual ascendency as God’s purpose for His people: a life formed through discipline, holiness, and union with the exalted Christ, overcoming spiritual opposition and sharing in Christ’s rule. The chapters call readers to desire this life and submit to God’s King in Zion. From “A Witness and A Testimony” magazines, 1950-1951. Vol. 28-5,6; Vol. 29-1,2,3,4,5.
