"Sovereign Head" - The Unveiling of Jesus Christ

Theodore Austin-Sparks (1888–1971) was a British evangelist and author. Born in London, he became a Christian at seventeen while listening to street-preachers in Glasgow, and was ordained a Baptist minister at twenty-four. In 1926 he left the denomination and, with like-minded Christians, founded a conference and training centre at Honor Oak in south-east London. From there he published the free magazine "A Witness and A Testimony" until his death, and his conference ministry took him across Europe, North America and Asia. He asked that his messages be shared freely and word for word. Source: Wikipedia (summarized; CC BY-SA)

About this book

Beginning with Saul’s encounter with the risen Jesus in Acts 9 and Paul’s longing in Philippians 3:10 to know Him, “Sovereign Head” unfolds Christ’s place in eternity, creation, history, grace, and the heavenly life. It calls readers to receive that life through new birth and resurrection power, and to know Christ through faith, obedience, and fellowship in His sufferings. Notes on a Conference Address. First published in "A Witness and A Testimony" magazines, 1928-1929.
