Theodore Austin-Sparks (1888–1971) was a British evangelist and author. Born in London, he became a Christian at seventeen while listening to street-preachers in Glasgow, and was ordained a Baptist minister at twenty-four. In 1926 he left the denomination and, with like-minded Christians, founded a conference and training centre at Honor Oak in south-east London. From there he published the free magazine "A Witness and A Testimony" until his death, and his conference ministry took him across Europe, North America and Asia. He asked that his messages be shared freely and word for word. Source: Wikipedia (summarized; CC BY-SA)

“Power With God” explores the spiritual qualities represented by Noah, Daniel, Job, Moses, and Samuel, whom Scripture names as men able to prevail with God. Beginning with Noah and the righteousness that comes by faith, Austin-Sparks considers how faith, suffering, responsibility born of love, and personal knowledge of the Lord shape this power. The chapters call readers to stand with God and seek His purposes through prayer and faithful dependence. First published in "A Witness and a Testimony" magazines, 1967.
