Pioneers of the Heavenly Way

Theodore Austin-Sparks (1888–1971) was a British evangelist and author. Born in London, he became a Christian at seventeen while listening to street-preachers in Glasgow, and was ordained a Baptist minister at twenty-four. In 1926 he left the denomination and, with like-minded Christians, founded a conference and training centre at Honor Oak in south-east London. From there he published the free magazine "A Witness and A Testimony" until his death, and his conference ministry took him across Europe, North America and Asia. He asked that his messages be shared freely and word for word. Source: Wikipedia (summarized; CC BY-SA)

About this book

“Pioneers of the Heavenly Way” traces Scripture’s contrast between earthly and heavenly orders, beginning with Hebrews 11:13–16 and the faith of those who seek a better, heavenly country. Through Abraham, Moses, Israel’s crossing of the Jordan, and the Levites, it explores the costly journey toward God’s purpose and heavenly fullness. It calls readers to refuse second-best, press on in faith, and pioneer this way for others.
