Our Warfare

Our Warfare

Theodore Austin-Sparks (1888–1971) was a British evangelist and author. Born in London, he became a Christian at seventeen while listening to street-preachers in Glasgow, and was ordained a Baptist minister at twenty-four. In 1926 he left the denomination and, with like-minded Christians, founded a conference and training centre at Honor Oak in south-east London. From there he published the free magazine "A Witness and A Testimony" until his death, and his conference ministry took him across Europe, North America and Asia. He asked that his messages be shared freely and word for word. Source: Wikipedia (summarized; CC BY-SA)

About this book

Opening with the spiritual warfare of 2 Corinthians 10 and the account of Gideon’s army, “Our Warfare” considers the Church’s conflict under Christ’s supreme command. Austin-Sparks examines its objectives and the need for morale, spiritual intelligence, a right attitude of mind, discipline, provision, and flexibility, calling readers—especially those in responsibility—to apply these principles as participants in the conflict.
