Our Inheritance in Christ

Theodore Austin-Sparks (1888–1971) was a British evangelist and author. Born in London, he became a Christian at seventeen while listening to street-preachers in Glasgow, and was ordained a Baptist minister at twenty-four. In 1926 he left the denomination and, with like-minded Christians, founded a conference and training centre at Honor Oak in south-east London. From there he published the free magazine "A Witness and A Testimony" until his death, and his conference ministry took him across Europe, North America and Asia. He asked that his messages be shared freely and word for word. Source: Wikipedia (summarized; CC BY-SA)

About this book

“Our Inheritance in Christ” opens with Joshua and Israel’s entry into the promised land, presenting inheritance as the goal of the Spirit’s work in believers. Drawing on Ephesians and Colossians, Austin-Sparks describes Christ as the one who recovers humanity’s inheritance and calls readers through wilderness discipline to possess the Lord Himself, while bringing their whole life—spirit, soul, and body—under His rule. Messages as spoken, first published in "A Witness and A Testimony" magazines 1931 (Volume 9).
