Theodore Austin-Sparks (1888–1971) was a British evangelist and author. Born in London, he became a Christian at seventeen while listening to street-preachers in Glasgow, and was ordained a Baptist minister at twenty-four. In 1926 he left the denomination and, with like-minded Christians, founded a conference and training centre at Honor Oak in south-east London. From there he published the free magazine "A Witness and A Testimony" until his death, and his conference ministry took him across Europe, North America and Asia. He asked that his messages be shared freely and word for word. Source: Wikipedia (summarized; CC BY-SA)

Opening with God’s purpose in the present age, “Life in the Spirit” traces how the risen and ascended Christ is known within believers through the Holy Spirit. Drawing on the forty days after the resurrection, Christ’s death and new creation, Hebrews, and the priesthood of Leviticus, it connects Spirit-filled life with God’s purpose for a corporate people. Readers are called to consecration, service, and a life governed by the Father’s will. First published in A Witness and A Testimony magazines, 1938-1939.
