Theodore Austin-Sparks (1888–1971) was a British evangelist and author. Born in London, he became a Christian at seventeen while listening to street-preachers in Glasgow, and was ordained a Baptist minister at twenty-four. In 1926 he left the denomination and, with like-minded Christians, founded a conference and training centre at Honor Oak in south-east London. From there he published the free magazine "A Witness and A Testimony" until his death, and his conference ministry took him across Europe, North America and Asia. He asked that his messages be shared freely and word for word. Source: Wikipedia (summarized; CC BY-SA)

“Leadership” draws biblical principles from Moses, Joshua, Deborah, Gideon, David, Nehemiah, and Paul, beginning with Judges 5:2 and the claim that leaders taking the lead is vital to God’s people. It considers leadership as God’s calling and responsibility, directed toward His purpose and patterned on following Christ; it calls readers entrusted with responsibility to exercise spiritual leadership with discernment, humility, and a clear vision. Published in "A Witness and A Testimony" magazines, 1962-1964. "For that the leaders took the lead... bless the Lord" (Judges 5:2).
