Theodore Austin-Sparks (1888–1971) was a British evangelist and author. Born in London, he became a Christian at seventeen while listening to street-preachers in Glasgow, and was ordained a Baptist minister at twenty-four. In 1926 he left the denomination and, with like-minded Christians, founded a conference and training centre at Honor Oak in south-east London. From there he published the free magazine "A Witness and A Testimony" until his death, and his conference ministry took him across Europe, North America and Asia. He asked that his messages be shared freely and word for word. Source: Wikipedia (summarized; CC BY-SA)

“Horizoned by Christ” presents Jesus as God’s measure and sphere for all things, tracing this purpose through His resurrection, ascension, exaltation, and Pentecost to the beginning of a new humanity. Opening with Acts 10:42 and 17:31, Austin-Sparks calls readers to let the Spirit lead them beyond spiritual safety and limitation into Christ’s fuller life, and to recognize in Scripture’s many faithful figures aspects of Christ himself. First published in "A Witness and A Testimony" magazines, 1961-62.
