Theodore Austin-Sparks (1888–1971) was a British evangelist and author. Born in London, he became a Christian at seventeen while listening to street-preachers in Glasgow, and was ordained a Baptist minister at twenty-four. In 1926 he left the denomination and, with like-minded Christians, founded a conference and training centre at Honor Oak in south-east London. From there he published the free magazine "A Witness and A Testimony" until his death, and his conference ministry took him across Europe, North America and Asia. He asked that his messages be shared freely and word for word. Source: Wikipedia (summarized; CC BY-SA)

Tracing God’s recurring response when His people’s testimony declines, these messages show how each fresh beginning returns to His original purpose. From Elisha’s new cruse and the salt of 2 Kings 2 to the altar, house, and name, the blood of Christ, and Zechariah’s golden candlestick, they call readers to a living, inward knowledge of the Lord and to a gathered people shaped by His mind. Part One - THE NEW THING WHICH IS OLD.
