God's Eternal Purpose

Theodore Austin-Sparks (1888–1971) was a British evangelist and author. Born in London, he became a Christian at seventeen while listening to street-preachers in Glasgow, and was ordained a Baptist minister at twenty-four. In 1926 he left the denomination and, with like-minded Christians, founded a conference and training centre at Honor Oak in south-east London. From there he published the free magazine "A Witness and A Testimony" until his death, and his conference ministry took him across Europe, North America and Asia. He asked that his messages be shared freely and word for word. Source: Wikipedia (summarized; CC BY-SA)

About this book

“God’s Eternal Purpose” presents this age as the gathering up of God’s work through the ages in Christ, and the Church as the vessel called to embody Christ’s fullness. Opening with Ephesians’ teaching on the purpose of the ages, it calls believers to grow together in that fullness and to make Christ’s inward lordship practical through self-giving fellowship and care for one another.
