Four Greatnesses of Divine Revelation

Four Greatnesses of Divine Revelation

Theodore Austin-Sparks (1888–1971) was a British evangelist and author. Born in London, he became a Christian at seventeen while listening to street-preachers in Glasgow, and was ordained a Baptist minister at twenty-four. In 1926 he left the denomination and, with like-minded Christians, founded a conference and training centre at Honor Oak in south-east London. From there he published the free magazine "A Witness and A Testimony" until his death, and his conference ministry took him across Europe, North America and Asia. He asked that his messages be shared freely and word for word. Source: Wikipedia (summarized; CC BY-SA)

About this book

Opening from 1 Chronicles 28–29, Austin-Sparks presents spiritual enlargement as the answer to the Church’s smallness, tracing four divine greatnesses: Christ, the Cross, the Church, and the Word of God. Solomon serves as a type of Christ in His kingship, sonship, possessions, death, resurrection, and enthronement. The reader is called to apprehend the Church’s heavenly calling and know God’s purpose through the living Word. First published in "A Witness and A Testimony" magazines, 1947-1948 and published as a book in 1948.
