Foundations

Theodore Austin-Sparks (1888–1971) was a British evangelist and author. Born in London, he became a Christian at seventeen while listening to street-preachers in Glasgow, and was ordained a Baptist minister at twenty-four. In 1926 he left the denomination and, with like-minded Christians, founded a conference and training centre at Honor Oak in south-east London. From there he published the free magazine "A Witness and A Testimony" until his death, and his conference ministry took him across Europe, North America and Asia. He asked that his messages be shared freely and word for word. Source: Wikipedia (summarized; CC BY-SA)

About this book

“Foundations” opens with Psalm 11 and the question, “If the foundations be destroyed, what can the righteous do?” It considers Christ as the sure foundation, the character of the life built upon Him, and the church’s growth amid spiritual conflict. The chapters call readers to be grounded in Christ, build in keeping with Him, and accept the new beginning God makes through Christ’s death and resurrection. First published in "A Witness and A Testimony" magazines, 1933-34.
