Theodore Austin-Sparks (1888–1971) was a British evangelist and author. Born in London, he became a Christian at seventeen while listening to street-preachers in Glasgow, and was ordained a Baptist minister at twenty-four. In 1926 he left the denomination and, with like-minded Christians, founded a conference and training centre at Honor Oak in south-east London. From there he published the free magazine "A Witness and A Testimony" until his death, and his conference ministry took him across Europe, North America and Asia. He asked that his messages be shared freely and word for word. Source: Wikipedia (summarized; CC BY-SA)

“Discipleship in the School of Christ” follows the Gospel of John’s signs as lessons in the divine life found in Christ. Beginning with the disciple’s calling to learn through practical apprenticeship, Austin-Sparks traces how Christ’s life overcomes distance, sin, natural limits, blindness, and death. The teaching calls readers to receive this life by faith and let it become applied truth in their daily walk.
