Swain, Joseph

Swain, Joseph, a successful English Baptist minister, was born at Birmingham in 1761. By trade he was an engraver. After his he held meetings, and in 1792 was ordained pastor of a Church in Walworth, where he remained till his early and lamented death, April 14, 1796. He was the author of Walworth Hymns, London, 1792.
